About the Job

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Mason to join our team at Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. As a Concrete Mason, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our sewer and watermain infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Concrete Finishing: Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement to achieve a smooth and even surface.
  • Compaction and Leveling: Operate power vibrators to compact concrete and level the top surface according to grade and depth specifications.
  • Surface Preparation: Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
  • Installation and Repair: Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures, and repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
  • Maintenance and Restoration: Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces, waterproof, damp proof, and restore surfaces.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, handling heavy loads, bending, crouching, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
  • Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail to ensure high-quality work.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
  • Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the trade.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Schedule: 35 hours per week.
