Job Summary

Regional Sewer and Watermain Ltd. is seeking a skilled Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our heavy-duty equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to detect faults and malfunctions, and perform repairs or replacements as needed.
  • Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other testing equipment to determine the extent of repair required.
  • Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, and test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Clean, lubricate, and perform other maintenance work to prevent equipment downtime.
  • Perform repair work on heavy trucks and verify and repair emission control systems.
Work Environment

As a Heavy-Duty Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods, bend, crouch, and kneel, and handle heavy loads.

Requirements
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in heavy-duty equipment maintenance or repair.
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training or certification is an asset.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with attention to detail and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
