Job Title: Administrative Support Specialist

Job Summary:

The Waterloo Region District School Board is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Support Specialist to join our team. As an Administrative Support Specialist, you will provide administrative support to the school administration, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and coordinating events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the school administration, including maintaining records, preparing reports, and coordinating events.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of administrative procedures and policies.
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, parents, and staff.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

  • Secondary School Graduation Diploma required.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, in a Windows computer environment.
  • Experience with K212 and G-Suite required.
  • Experience using the Aspen Student Information System and applying this knowledge to record keeping and maintaining data integrity required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as a member of the administrative team.
  • Ability to complete assigned duties with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions:

This is a part-time position, working 12 hours per week, 10 months per year. The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced administrative environment and may be required to work flexible hours.
