Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Chef to join our culinary team at Hotel N.S. Ownership Limited Partnership. This role requires a creative individual with a passion for pastry arts and a commitment to excellence.

Educational Requirements
  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years.
Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and calculate the quantity and costs of ingredients and food supplies.
  • Determine labor expenses related to pastry production.
  • Maintain detailed records of food expenses, usage, sales, and inventory levels.
  • Analyze operational costs and relevant data to improve efficiency.
  • Oversee the work of specialized chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff.
  • Guide cooks in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of pastry items.
  • Order necessary food and kitchen supplies.
  • Engage with clients to discuss catering for events such as weddings and banquets.
  • Prepare desserts and pastries for customers with dietary restrictions.
Experience Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 years and less than 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
