The Role

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Pastry Cook to lead our pastry team. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and consistency of all pastry products served in our restaurants. Your attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records of food ingredients will be essential in meeting our high standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example as a hands-on Pastry Cook, ensuring the quality and consistency of all pastry products served.
  • Strive for accuracy and consistency in preparing desserts to the standards set by our Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
  • Maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry.
  • Ensure all menu items have their recipes recorded, costs tallied, and updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Value organization and procedures, and identify and correct any issues that can impact the effectiveness of the operation.
  • Ensure health, safety, and cleanliness standards are adhered to, and correct any deficiencies.
  • Handle all special requests and guest allergies to ensure guest health and satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team, and as an individual.
  • Culinary degree/diploma an asset.
