The Role

We are seeking a skilled Pastry Cook to join our team at Mystic, a new restaurant concept that showcases the best of Canadian cuisine. As a Pastry Cook, you will be responsible for leading by example and ensuring the quality and consistency of all pastry products served.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and present high-quality pastry products that meet the standards set by our Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine.
  • Maintain accurate records of all food ingredients for pastry and ensure that all menu items have their recipes recorded, costs tallied, and updated on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure that health, safety, and cleanliness standards are adhered to and correct any deficiencies.
  • Handle special requests and guest allergies with professionalism and ensure guest health and satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties or responsibilities as assigned or required.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years progressive experience in a pastry capacity.
  • Knowledge of new trends in presentation and preparation.
  • Proven ability to work well with a team and as an individual.
  • Culinary degree/diploma an asset.
