Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sentry Full time
About the Position

As the Performance Product Marketing Lead at Sentry, you will be responsible for developing and executing the comprehensive go-to-market strategy for our performance monitoring solutions. Your role will involve collaborating across teams to translate intricate concepts into engaging and succinct messaging that appeals to the developer community—demonstrating a thorough understanding of the product, target market, and competitive landscape.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the product marketing strategy and go-to-market initiatives for Sentry's performance monitoring tools to enhance acquisition, engagement, and activation among developers.
  • Act as the customer advocate. Grasp their challenges, aspirations, and requirements. Clearly articulate how we stand out from competitors to ensure their success with Sentry from initial sign-up to their first event submission.
  • Create clear, benefit-oriented messaging. Formulate compelling value propositions for developers that are distinct and resonate. Technical accuracy, audience consideration, consistency, and validation through testing are essential.
  • Build strong relationships with developers. Collaborate with Sales Engineers to produce educational resources about our performance monitoring solutions that encourage developers to integrate Sentry seamlessly.
You Will Thrive in This Role If You
  • Are skilled in promotion. Organize and manage product launches across various channels with the primary objective of increasing awareness and user engagement.
  • Continue the narrative. View a launch as just the beginning. Sustain interest in Sentry by developing and implementing value-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Stay ahead of the curve. Monitor trends in developer tools and software development. Utilize this research to guide product and engineering teams on future investments.
  • Collaborate effectively across departments. Work closely with Product Managers, Engineering Managers, Business Operations, and Go-To-Market teams to enhance product workflows, revenue performance, customer impact, and internal processes.
Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years in product marketing with a proven history of success in technical content strategy and creation. Experience in developer relations or community engagement is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with software development processes and experience working with developer teams. Previous experience as a developer is a plus.
  • Strong ability to prioritize competing demands and balance customer needs with business objectives.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A blend of wit, creativity, and humor, combined with adaptability and a strong sense of ambition tempered by humility.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $119,000 to $129,000 CAD. The actual salary will be determined based on various relevant factors, including the candidate's location, education, experience, skills, and job-related knowledge. Successful candidates will be eligible for Sentry's employee benefit programs, which may include incentive compensation, equity grants, paid time off, and health insurance coverage.
