Job Summary

The Government of Alberta is seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team in the Alternative Capital Financing Partnerships Office. As a Business Analyst, you will play a key role in leading the assessment and procurement processes for infrastructure projects, identifying and exploring alternative financing options, and developing creative financing and funding options.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of infrastructure projects to identify potential financing options and develop recommendations for the Government of Alberta.
  • Collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including ministries and public agencies, to define funding arrangements and project parameters.
  • Develop and review Requests for Qualifications (RFQ), Requests for Proposals (RFP), and Requests for Expression of Interest (RFEOI) to ensure they accurately reflect the needs and roles of all involved parties.
  • Review and analyze financial data to inform decision-making and optimize value in potential partnership opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain an overarching framework for alternative capital financing to increase consistency across projects.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance to stakeholders on alternative financing options and project management best practices.
