Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Finance Senior Analyst to provide strategic financial insights and support to our management team.

The Finance Senior Analyst will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality financial guidance and reporting for our North American Commercial Services division. This position is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial planning, analysis, and reporting across various financial dimensions, including capital, operational costs, and revenue streams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure precise and timely reporting of financial outcomes on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, adhering to corporate deadlines.
  • Identify and resolve financial reporting discrepancies by reviewing general ledger accounts and proposing corrective actions.
  • Analyze financial data and prepare journal entries with appropriate documentation, including variance analyses for financial periods.
  • Review and analyze intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate coding and resolution of discrepancies.
  • Implement accounting processes that comply with regulatory standards and internal policies, maintaining robust internal controls.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations and collaborate on quarterly reporting for Corporate Finance.
  • Develop expertise in Oracle Fixed Asset and Project modules to ensure accurate financial reporting related to asset capitalization and depreciation.
  • Provide insights on accounting treatments under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the planning and review of annual budgets and forecasts, providing analytical support for business units.

Qualifications

  • A degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting.
  • A Professional Accounting Designation (CPA) is required.
  • 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and large corporate financial processes.
  • Ability to work independently while supporting team objectives.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Corporate Financial Systems, particularly Oracle and Adaptive.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for financial analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Experience in reviewing compliance with internal control requirements.
  • Proven ability to enhance process efficiencies and resolve issues.
