Information Security Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design, implement, and oversee security systems and protocols.
  2. Promote security awareness across the organization, enabling users to operate securely while minimizing disruptions.
  3. Investigate and assess emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, proposing effective countermeasures.
  4. Analyze data from security applications and summarize findings for stakeholders.
  5. Work collaboratively with development teams to establish and enforce security measures.
  6. Partner with security analysts and engineers to create threat models, detection strategies, incident response procedures, and maintain tools that enhance security insights.
  7. Oversee endpoint detection and response (EDR), DNS security, and vulnerability assessment tools.

Qualifications:

  1. Minimum of 5 years in a security-focused role.
  2. Proficient in identifying security vulnerabilities and devising remediation strategies.
  3. Ability to engage with both technical and business units, advocating for security best practices and protocols.
  4. Strong communication abilities.
  5. In-depth knowledge of enterprise-level security technologies, including EDR, SIEM, vulnerability management, incident response, PKI, user behavior analytics, SSO, IAM, and Privileged Access Management.
  6. Experience in generating reports and dashboards using standard SQL.
  7. Proficient in scripting languages such as Bash and Python.
  8. Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation.
  9. Extensive hands-on experience with cloud service providers such as AWS and GCP.
  10. Familiarity with Google Workspaces and Amazon Workspaces.
  11. Understanding of development processes and tools like Git and Jira.
  12. Willingness to accommodate US EST working hours.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Relevant cybersecurity certifications (CISSP, CEH, Security+, etc.).
  2. Familiarity with tools such as Nucleus, Splunk, Snowflake, Crowdstrike, Umbrella, Rapid 7, and Cisco Attack Surface Management.
