Compensation: | $18.25/hour

Note: The average weekly hours for this role may vary between 27 and 21 hours based on the rotation. Successful candidates must have Day/Evening availability 7 days a week to qualify.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage Equipment Logistics for Site
  • Compile Daily Reports
  • Escort Male Patients to Hospital Rooms
  • Deliver exceptional Customer Service to package recipients
  • Conduct proactive & reactive security patrols
  • Respond to incidents
  • Document incidents through report writing
  • Investigate routine occurrences
  • Screen patients and visitors, ensuring contraband control
  • Oversee Forensic Monitoring Station
  • Perform Additional Duties as Assigned
Qualifications:
  • Valid Ontario Security Guard License
  • Current First Aid & CPR - Level C certification (from a WSIB-approved provider)
  • Valid Ontario Driver's License (G)
  • Proficient in English (both verbal and written)
  • Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (minimum double vaccination)
  • Immunization records (Measles, Mumps, Rubella [MMR], Varicella, and TB Skin Tests - Step 1 & 2)
    • How To
    • Immunization Record Form
    • Completed immunization for Measles, Mumps, and Rubella are required at the time of hire. Applicants who are not immunized or are otherwise unable to provide their MMR immunity at the time of hire will not be deemed eligible for the position.
  • Able to maintain a clean-shaven appearance to pass an N95 Mask Fit Test
  • 6+ months of Customer Service experience is essential
  • 1+ year of security experience is essential
  • Experience in healthcare or healthcare security is considered an asset
  • Must be able to provide certifications in Stay Safe
    • Applicants lacking these certifications can enroll in Paladin's Stay Safe training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position
    • Please note: The Stay Safe training is unpaid as it is a prerequisite; however, Paladin will cover all training costs with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability
