Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and professional Security Officer to join our team at Paladin Security. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our campus community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to staff, students, and visitors, responding to their needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Security Protocols: Ensure that all staff, visitors, and vendors are aware of and follow our security protocols, including emergency procedures and incident reporting.
  • Patrols and Surveillance: Conduct regular patrols of the campus, monitoring security cameras and responding to any security incidents or concerns.
  • Assistance and Support: Provide assistance and support to staff and students as needed, including wayfinding and providing information about campus facilities and services.
  • Emergency Response: Remain calm and effectively respond to emergency situations, following established protocols and procedures.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Accurately and thoroughly document all security incidents and concerns, including writing reports and taking notes.
  • Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in security and customer service.
Requirements
  • Security License: Possess a valid Security License for the province of Ontario.
  • First Aid and CPR: Hold a valid First Aid and CPR - Level C certification from a WSIB-approved vendor.
  • Language Skills: Be proficient in English (both oral and written), with bilingualism in French and English considered an asset.
  • Experience: Have at least 6 months of experience in customer service, with previous security experience preferred.
  • Commitment: Be able to commit to the position for at least 6 months.
  • Certifications: Possess Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB) and Use of Force Certification (UOF), with Paladin Security willing to pay for certification on a commitment contract.
