Position Overview:

The Senior Buyer will oversee the procurement activities for a diverse array of goods and services. This position demands a strategic mindset, exceptional negotiation capabilities, and a comprehensive grasp of supply chain dynamics, alongside the ability to cultivate robust relationships with vendors and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Formulate and execute procurement strategies that ensure economical purchasing while upholding quality and supply reliability.
  • Oversee the procurement lifecycle from sourcing to contract negotiation and vendor oversight.
  • Evaluate market trends and supplier performance to inform purchasing choices.
  • Work in conjunction with internal teams to anticipate demand and regulate inventory levels.
  • Guarantee adherence to corporate policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.
  • Compile and deliver regular updates on procurement activities, cost efficiencies, and supplier evaluations.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to enhance procurement processes and promote operational efficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in a purchasing or procurement capacity, ideally within the oil and gas industry.
  • Familiarity with EPICOR or comparable ERP systems such as SAP is highly advantageous.
  • Demonstrated experience in logistics and supply chain management.
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze data effectively and make informed strategic decisions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional certifications in supply chain management (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
  • Experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
  • Knowledge of international procurement and logistics.
