Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly skilled Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Alberta Health Services. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide harm reduction focused, mental health and addiction services to clients across the province.

About the Role:

As a Mental Health Therapist, you will work with clients to assess, treat, and manage their mental health and addiction needs. You will use a variety of treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy, to provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide harm reduction focused, mental health and addiction services to clients across the province
  • Work with clients to assess, treat, and manage their mental health and addiction needs
  • Use a variety of treatment modalities, including individual, family, and group therapy
  • Provide evidence-informed and best practices in crisis intervention, assessment, consultation, referral, case management, and treatment
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to clients

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing
  • Active or eligible for registration with the applicable Alberta regulatory college
  • Experience working with clients with mental health and addiction issues
  • Strong assessment, treatment, and case management skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of an interdisciplinary team
