About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sunset Grill. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our food service staff and ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food service staff, including training and development
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure efficient service delivery
  • Food and Beverage Operations
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, ensuring timely delivery and quality control
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, minimizing waste and excess
  • Customer Service and Quality Control
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction
    • Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Administrative and Financial Tasks
    • Prepare budget and cost estimates, monitoring expenses and revenue
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing accurate reports and analysis
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role
  • Work Environment and Conditions
    • Fast-paced environment with frequent standing and physical demands
    • Excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Personal Qualities
    • Flexibility, dependability, and a strong work ethic
    • Ability to work in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances
