About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sunset Grill. As a key member of our restaurant operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our food service operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of a team of food service staff, ensuring that they are working efficiently and effectively to meet the needs of our customers.
    • Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that they are meeting the required standards.
  • Food Service Management
    • Establish methods to meet work schedules and ensure that food and service meet quality control standards.
    • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage.
    • Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
  • Customer Service
    • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards, and that customers receive a high level of service.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, and prepare budget and cost estimates.
    • Supervise and check delivery of food trolleys, and establish work schedules.
    Requirements
    • Education and Experience
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service role.
    • Work Environment
      • Fast-paced environment.
      • Standing for extended periods.
      • Physically demanding.
    • Personal Qualities
      • Excellent oral communication skills.
      • Flexibility.
      • Dependability.
