About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Restaurant Manager to join our team at Bar.B.Q 1988. As a Restaurant Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our restaurant, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our food and beverage offerings meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to deliver excellent customer service.
  • Manage Budget and Finances: Oversee the financial aspects of the restaurant, including budgeting, forecasting, and controlling costs to ensure profitability.
  • Plan and Implement Operational Procedures: Develop and implement operational procedures to ensure efficient and effective service delivery, including menu planning, inventory management, and supply chain management.
  • Balance Cash and Complete Financial Reports: Accurately balance cash and complete financial reports, including balance sheets, cash reports, and related forms.
  • Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews with staff members to provide feedback and coaching to improve performance.
  • Cost Products and Services: Analyze and optimize the cost of products and services to ensure profitability.
  • Organize and Maintain Inventory: Oversee the receipt, storage, and issuance of inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and that inventory is accurately valued.
  • Address Customer Complaints: Respond promptly and professionally to customer complaints, resolving issues and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Provide Customer Service: Deliver exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers receive a positive experience and that their needs are met.
  • Plan, Organize, Direct, Control, and Evaluate Daily Operations: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring that service delivery is efficient and effective.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field, such as hospitality or business.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel and have travel expenses paid by employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, organized, reliable, team player, and ability to multitask.
