Restaurant Manager Job Description

Bar.B.Q 1988 is seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Manager to lead our team and drive business success. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining a high level of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and Train Staff: Lead and motivate a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Operational Management: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily restaurant operations, including inventory management, cash handling, and customer service.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and concerns in a professional and timely manner.
  • Financial Management: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and manage inventory to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews to evaluate staff performance and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements:
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a restaurant management role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask, and strong leadership skills.
  • Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Office and other relevant software.
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Willing to travel and have travel expenses paid by employer.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, and with tight deadlines.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient, and a team player.
