Legal Office Assistant

The Legal Administrative Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the operations of Guraya Law Professional Corporation. This position involves a variety of administrative tasks essential for the smooth functioning of our legal practice.
Qualifications- Education: Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma program lasting 1 to 2 years, or equivalent experience.
- Willingness to relocate may be required.
- Experience in property and real estate law is preferred.
- Work within a law establishment setting.
- Manage scheduling and confirmation of appointments.
- Maintain an organized filing system.
- Record and prepare minutes for court sessions, meetings, or conferences.
- Establish and implement office procedures and routines.
- Coordinate travel arrangements, including itineraries and reservations.
- Prepare financial statements and reports as needed.
- Draft and input correspondence and legal documents.
- Review and proofread documents to ensure adherence to legal standards and grammatical accuracy.
- Supervise a small team of 1 to 2 individuals.
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Office Suite, and electronic mail.
- Familiarity with MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Windows.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines.
- Attention to detail is essential due to a large caseload.
- Demonstrates accuracy and client-focused service.
- Dependable with efficient interpersonal skills.
- Exhibits excellent oral and written communication abilities.
- Highly organized and reliable, with a strong ability to multitask.
- Works effectively as part of a team.
- Minimum of 7 months to less than 1 year of relevant experience.
- This is a permanent position.
- Work language is English.
- Standard working hours range from 35 to 40 hours per week.
