Position Overview:
The Office of the Registrar at the University of Toronto Mississauga is dedicated to providing essential registrarial services that align with the academic objectives of the institution. The Student Recruitment Officer plays a pivotal role in advancing international recruitment initiatives. This position is focused on showcasing the unique offerings of U of T Mississauga to attract highly qualified candidates from around the globe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Performing comprehensive data analysis to shape effective recruitment strategies.
  • Building and nurturing a network of external relationships to enhance recruitment efforts.
  • Maintaining an extensive understanding of program benefits in comparison to competing institutions.
  • Delivering engaging presentations to prospective students and stakeholders.
  • Providing thorough information regarding admission prerequisites to interested candidates.
  • Advising potential applicants, families, and educational advisors on admissions processes and criteria.
  • Clarifying admissions decisions with detailed explanations.
  • Responding promptly to inquiries and service requests.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a university or higher education setting.
  • Experience in student recruitment, admissions, or related student services.
  • Proven ability to present to diverse audiences and coordinate events or programs.
  • Exceptional communication, public speaking, and presentation abilities.
  • Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills.
  • Familiarity with high school curricula and university admission standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, online meeting platforms, and CRM software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in data analysis and report generation.
  • Proficiency in a second language.
