Position Overview:

The University of Toronto is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team as a Student Recruitment Officer. This role is pivotal in enhancing our recruitment strategies and ensuring that we attract the most qualified candidates to our esteemed institution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract prospective students.
  • Represent the University at various recruitment events and deliver engaging presentations.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high schools, colleges, and community organizations.
  • Provide comprehensive advising services to prospective students and their families regarding admissions processes.
  • Analyze recruitment trends and propose new initiatives to enhance our outreach efforts.
  • Coordinate campus visit programs, including the training and supervision of student ambassadors.
  • Evaluate recruitment activities and prepare reports based on statistical data.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • A minimum of four years of experience in a post-secondary educational environment.
  • Proven experience in student recruitment and familiarity with the admissions landscape.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with a focus on diverse audiences.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to providing outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with CRM systems.
