Position Overview:
The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Office of the Registrar as a Student Recruitment Officer. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission of strategic enrollment management, focusing on the recruitment of international students.
About the University:
As the second largest division of the University of Toronto, U of T Mississauga encompasses 17 academic departments and offers a diverse range of 156 programs across 92 fields of study. With a vibrant community of approximately 15,000 students and over 1,000 faculty and staff, our campus is renowned for its innovative interdisciplinary programs and commitment to academic excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies aimed at attracting qualified international students.
- Represent U of T Mississauga at various recruitment events, both in-person and virtually.
- Advise prospective students and their families regarding admissions processes and requirements.
- Build and maintain relationships with high schools and educational institutions that serve large populations of international students.
- Conduct thorough data analysis to refine recruitment strategies and enhance outreach efforts.
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a cohesive recruitment approach.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- At least four years of experience in a university or post-secondary environment.
- Proven experience in student recruitment, admissions, or related student services.
- Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle inquiries with professionalism.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
