Position Overview:

The University of Toronto Mississauga is seeking a dedicated professional to join our Office of the Registrar as a Student Recruitment Officer. This role is pivotal in advancing our mission of strategic enrollment management, focusing on the recruitment of international students.

As the second largest division of the University of Toronto, U of T Mississauga encompasses 17 academic departments and offers a diverse range of 156 programs across 92 fields of study. With a vibrant community of approximately 15,000 students and over 1,000 faculty and staff, our campus is renowned for its innovative interdisciplinary programs and commitment to academic excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies aimed at attracting qualified international students.
  • Represent U of T Mississauga at various recruitment events, both in-person and virtually.
  • Advise prospective students and their families regarding admissions processes and requirements.
  • Build and maintain relationships with high schools and educational institutions that serve large populations of international students.
  • Conduct thorough data analysis to refine recruitment strategies and enhance outreach efforts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a cohesive recruitment approach.

Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree or a combination of relevant experience and education.
  • At least four years of experience in a university or post-secondary environment.
  • Proven experience in student recruitment, admissions, or related student services.
  • Strong public speaking and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle inquiries with professionalism.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with CRM systems.
