Maintenance Manager Job Description

PreCon Precast Limited is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the efficient operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to minimize downtime and optimize production.
  • Manage and train a team of maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Coordinate with external contractors and suppliers to ensure that maintenance work is completed safely and efficiently.
  • Develop and maintain a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) program to ensure that equipment is properly maintained and that maintenance schedules are met.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of operating and capital budgets for maintenance.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement effective solutions to maintain continuous production.
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks in the department.
  • Develop, implement, and manage work associated with key performance indicators (KPIs) for each area of responsibility.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance work and machine performance.
Requirements:
  • Relevant manufacturing/engineering degree.
  • Minimum five years plant maintenance / facility maintenance experience with a minimum of two years in a leadership capacity.
  • Extensive plant level experience with significant proven people management experience.
  • Completed a fully indentured apprenticeship with a mechanical/electrical/electronic discipline.
  • Technical capability and understanding.
  • Familiarity with OHSA standards relating to industrial and construction operations.
  • Experience with PLC controls, PC's, PM and TPM systems.
  • Experience in managing Profit and Loss (P&L) responsibilities for maintenance.
  • Understanding of manufacturing and procurement/supply chain.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office.
