Mystic is a new restaurant located on the Halifax waterfront in the Queen's Marque district. Our team is passionate about showcasing the region's exceptional fish, flora, and fauna, sourced within a 100km radius, to create an authentic expression of time and place.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Fine Dining Server Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our Front of House team, you will work closely with our Chefs and Servers to provide exceptional service to our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Expertly answer questions about food, beverage, wine, and other restaurant functions and services
  • Assist with food running, ensuring plates arrive to the proper guest
  • Monitor the cleanliness of the section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
  • Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
  • Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
  • Ensure condiments are pre-portioned and fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter, etc.
  • Monitor food quality and presentation standards
  • Follow all food safety standards and systems
  • Empty garbage, change linen bags, and dispose of garbage and recycling
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
