Job Overview

This position operates in a hybrid model, where the expectation is to be present at the office three days a week, contributing to the dynamic environment at General Motors of Canada Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain the electronic filing system, ensuring the Team Connect system is updated with relevant matter details and financial plans.
  • Assist in the preparation and editing of various legal documents and communications.
  • Support the development of meeting materials, including PowerPoint presentations and other documentation.
  • Organize and schedule meetings, manage calendars, and prepare agendas for senior legal counsel.
  • Process and submit expense reports for senior legal counsel.
  • Provide comprehensive administrative support, including handling mail distribution.
  • Aid in the preparation and submission of corporate documentation.
  • Oversee the department's quarterly SOX reporting, Information Lifecycle Management, Litigation Hold Process, and Time Keeping.
  • Facilitate the department's Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Assist in resolving administrative challenges as they arise.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in an administrative role within a professional office environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Capable of prioritizing tasks and making informed decisions within the scope of assigned responsibilities.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in French is considered an asset, though not mandatory.
