About Katana Japanese Restaurant

We are a dynamic and fast-paced restaurant looking for a skilled and experienced chef to join our team. As an Executive Chef, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring that our customers receive the highest quality food and service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution

Develop and implement menus that showcase our Japanese cuisine and meet the needs of our customers.

Chef Management

Supervise and train our kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.

Inventory Management

Manage our inventory of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure that we have what we need to operate at peak levels.

Quality Control

Inspect our food and kitchen areas to ensure that they meet our high standards of quality and safety.

Customer Service

Work with our servers and hosts to ensure that our customers receive excellent service and have a positive dining experience.

Requirements
  • Education

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a chef or in a related role is required.

Language

English is the primary language spoken in our kitchen, but proficiency in Japanese is an asset.

Work Environment

We are a fast-paced and physically demanding work environment. You must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen.
