Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Cooking: Prepare and cook complete meals and individual dishes, ensuring high-quality standards and presentation.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, ensuring efficient and safe food preparation and service.
- Inventory and Supplies: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, ensuring timely ordering and restocking.
- Quality Control: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure cleanliness and adherence to health and safety standards.
- Staff Training: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, ensuring consistency and quality.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role, or equivalent experience.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment, with willingness to relocate.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.
- Fast-Paced Environment: Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities.
- Handling Heavy Loads: Physically demanding role, requiring handling of heavy loads and standing for extended periods.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service and maintain a client-focused attitude.
- Dependability: Demonstrate dependability and reliability in meeting deadlines and responsibilities.
- Excellent Oral Communication: Possess excellent oral communication skills, with ability to communicate effectively with staff and customers.
- Language: English language proficiency required.
- Work Environment: 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
