Position Title: Child Nutrition Consultant

Reports To: Nutritional Services Manager

Direct Reports: None

Hours of Work: Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm

The Role

As a Child Nutrition Consultant, you will be tasked with educating parents, clients, and staff on child nutrition. Your expertise will be essential in menu creation and allergy management.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition or a related discipline
  • Accreditation from Dietitians of Canada
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in child nutrition

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and nutritional analysis tools
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Duties and Responsibilities

Education and Content Development

  • Create nutrition articles and recipes for the website and social media platforms
  • Conduct nutrition workshops for children and their parents
  • Work alongside the Customer Care team to address nutritional inquiries

Menu Development

  • Assist in planning menus and generating recipe ideas
  • Evaluate the nutritional quality of meals and snacks
  • Ensure adherence to nutritional standards

Nutritional Expertise

  • Stay updated on the latest nutritional research
  • Provide nutrition education and consultations
  • Represent the organization at community events
