Job Title: Senior Real Estate Finance Manager

As a Senior Real Estate Finance Manager at National Bank, you will play a key role in supporting the Director & Team Lead in developing new business opportunities by focusing on the best players in the real estate sector. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure clients' day-to-day banking needs are met at the highest level.

Your Key Responsibilities:
  • Structure credit and cash management arrangements, perform comprehensive financial/non-financial due diligence and risk assessment of credit proposals.
  • Negotiate the terms and conditions with both clients and internal NBC stakeholders working in collaboration with your Team Lead.
  • Develop new client relationships by leveraging referral sources, existing clients, and centers of influence.
  • Support your Team Lead's portfolio by helping clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
  • Collaborate with the Western Canada team mainly, as well as our teams in Montreal and Toronto, in order to reach our objectives of increased revenues and continuous improvement.
  • Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and sales approaches.
  • Work with the Team Lead and other partners internally to support the achievement of overall objectives of the Real Estate Group.
About the Team:

You will be part of a large team of 100+ colleagues based across Canada, working in collaboration with the Regional Vice-President Real Estate Financing. Our team stands out for our expertise, speed, and entrepreneurial spirit. This position offers flexibility for you to organize your weeks between the office, home, and meetings with customers.

What We Offer:
  • Bachelor's degree and/or Master's degree in a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of real estate financing experience or direct experience within Commercial and or Corporate Banking.
  • Demonstration of business development skills, understanding financial statements, accounting principles, and managing the credit quality of a portfolio with complex financing requirements.
  • Knowledge of banking products and services for real estate businesses.
  • Strong interpersonal and writing skills.
