Position Overview:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with account managers to oversee intricate portfolio components, including file analysis, financing proposals, and negotiation processes.
  • Engage in discussions with the credit department to finalize financing conditions.
  • Occasionally negotiate financing terms directly with clients and prospective customers.
  • Support account managers in the execution, renewal, and evaluation of complex files.
  • Examine expert documentation, including assessments from cost and environmental consultants, legal advisors, and SCHL representatives.
  • Review prerequisites prior to fund disbursement.
  • Maintain the integrity and quality of the portfolio.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with sector activities.

Your Team:

The Real Estate Finance team operates within the Commercial and Private Banking sector, dedicated to assisting key players in the real estate market with both interim construction financing and long-term funding for premium assets. Our team is driven and focused on expanding our presence in Western Canada.

You will be part of a dynamic group of 12 professionals, reporting to the Senior Manager of the Portfolio Management Team. Our team is recognized for its collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field with a minimum of 7 years of pertinent experience, or a master's degree with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience in real estate financing.
  • Relevant background in commercial credit.
  • Strong customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in business development is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with business products and services.
