Who we seek
OVERVIEW:
Lead the team in the timely and precise preparation of financial statements and reports in compliance with IFRS, NI81-106, and other Canadian regulations for mutual fund and institutional clients.
Coordinate and strategize client deliverables while ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Support and implement corporate strategies, as well as design and execute operational frameworks.
Manage client relationships and serve as the subject matter expert in financial reporting services.
Your Responsibilities
As an Assistant Vice President of Financial Reporting, you will:
- Oversee the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for various fund structures, adhering to IFRS and NI regulations.
- Manage relationships and provide support to the client service team as the subject matter expert in financial reporting.
- Be the primary contact for both external and internal audits.
- Regularly review regulatory changes and industry practices, proactively assessing and communicating their impact on clients.
- Design operational frameworks and standard procedures, including staff training, development, and performance evaluations.
- Lead technology enhancement projects and process improvement initiatives aimed at reducing operational risks and increasing efficiency.
- Assist the VP of Financial Reporting in completing RFPs and participate in presentations to clients and potential clients.

- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, with exceptional attention to detail and strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to work autonomously, meet deadlines, and perform well under pressure.
Education & Preferred Qualifications
- University or College degree.
- CPA or CFA designation preferred.
- 6-8 years of experience in the investment fund industry with a focus on financial reporting.
- Experience in the preparation and review of investment fund financial statements.
