Financial Reporting Assistant Vice President

Join State Street's team of financial experts and take your career to the next level. As a Financial Reporting Assistant Vice President, you will play a key role in overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports for our clients.

About the Role

  • Manage the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual and annual financial statements for a variety of Fund structures and IFRS and NI regulations.
  • Oversee relationships and support the client service team as subject matter expert in financial reporting services.
  • Primary owner of external and internal audits.
  • Regular review on regulatory changes and industry practices. Proactively assess and communicate client impacts.
  • Design operating models and standard procedures and controls, staff training and development, performance reviews and others as required.
  • Lead and manage technology enhancement projects and process improvement initiatives to reduce operational risks, increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support the VP, Financial Reporting in the completion of RFP and participate in sale presentations to existing clients and external prospects.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian Fund Reporting and Regulatory Environment requirements outlined under IFRS and NI 81-106.
  • Strong demonstration of leadership qualities. Superior attention to detail, excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and work well under pressure.

Education and Experience

  • University/College degree.
  • CPA/CFA designation preferred.
  • 6-8 years experience in the investment fund industry with financial reporting experience required.
  • Experience in preparation and review of investment fund financial statements.
