About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Reporting Assistant Vice President to join our team at State Street. As a key member of our financial reporting team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation of financial statements and reports for our mutual fund and institutional clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the preparation of quarterly, semi-annual, and annual financial statements for various fund structures and in accordance with IFRS and NI regulations.
  • Regularly review regulatory changes and industry practices to ensure compliance and stay up-to-date with the latest developments.
  • Design and implement operating models, standard procedures, and controls to ensure efficient and effective financial reporting processes.
  • Lead and manage technology enhancement projects and process improvement initiatives to reduce operational risks and increase efficiency.

Requirements

  • Extensive knowledge of Canadian fund reporting and regulatory environment requirements outlined under IFRS and NI 81-106.
  • Strong leadership qualities, with superior attention to detail, excellent time management, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and work well under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

  • University/College degree.
  • CPA/CFA designation preferred.
  • 6-8 years of experience in the investment fund industry with financial reporting experience required.
  • Experience in preparation and review of investment fund financial statements.
