Responsibilities.
Provide on-site technical and operational assistance in the design, development, installation, and upkeep of Siemens MV VFD systems. Conduct site assessments to formulate foundational or installation design plans. Facilitate customer training for the maintenance and adjustment of MV VFD Systems. Create and submit technical documentation detailing all job activities. Oversee the maintenance of tools and testing equipment. Develop and present scopes of work, job safety analyses, and Job Hazard assessments. Review task plans, drawings, and installation schematics, offering ongoing guidance throughout the project duration.Candidate profile.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position. An Electrical/Electronic Technician qualification or a comparable Engineering degree/diploma/certificate is required. Familiarity with air and water-cooled VFDs is preferred. Advanced degrees do not replace practical experience. Experience and a solid understanding of medium voltage industrial electrical systems are advantageous. Knowledge of PLC principles and programming is beneficial. Expertise in commissioning and maintaining MV/HV Motors is a significant advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Capability to interpret and comprehend technical documents, schematic design specifications, and update drawings as necessary. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Ability to work at heights using scaffolding or man-lifts. Capable of lifting 50 lbs. Our commitment.
