Helical Pile Solutions is seeking a skilled and experienced Field Welder / Rig Welder to fill a critical role in our team. As a leader in turnkey deep foundation installations, we provide comprehensive foundation solutions for industrial construction companies, consulting engineers, and owners. As a Field Welder / Rig Welder, you will play a key part in the successful completion of our projects by ensuring the quality and integrity of our helical piles, drilled shafts, and driven piles. This position is a full-time opportunity, utilizing company-provided equipment and resources.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform welding tasks on-site, including welding of helical piles, drilled shafts, and driven piles, adhering to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Inspect and assess the quality of welds to ensure they meet project requirements and company standards.
  • Collaborate with the engineering and installation teams to ensure accurate welding procedures are followed, promoting a culture of quality and safety.
  • Operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
  • Assist with the preparation and layout of materials for welding, ensuring timely and cost-effective project completion.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols, applying technical knowledge to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
  • Conduct regular maintenance and inspection of welding equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend equipment lifespan.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on-site, prioritizing the well-being of yourself and your colleagues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, demonstrating flexibility and a commitment to team success.

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience as a welder in the construction industry, preferably with welding experience in deep foundation installations.
  • Valid welding certification (AWS D1.1 or equivalent) is required, with a strong understanding of welding techniques and processes.
  • Proficient in various welding techniques and processes, including SMAW, GMAW, and FCAW, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, welding symbols, and project specifications, applying technical knowledge to ensure accurate and high-quality welds.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality welds, with a focus on safety and quality.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team, promoting a culture of collaboration and open communication.
  • Physical stamina and flexibility to work in various weather conditions and in challenging environments, with a focus on adaptability and resilience.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations related to welding and construction, with a strong commitment to safety and well-being.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate and maintain welding equipment and tools effectively, with a focus on efficiency and productivity.
  • Able to work out of town, with a focus on flexibility and adaptability.
