Key Responsibilities.
Provide on-site technical and operational assistance in the design, development, installation, and maintenance of medium voltage variable frequency drive (MV VFD) systems. Conduct site surveys to create foundational or installation design plans. Facilitate customer training for the maintenance and adjustment of MV VFD systems. Prepare and submit technical reports detailing all job activities. Oversee the upkeep of tools and testing equipment. Develop and present scopes of work, job safety analyses, and job hazard assessments. Review task plans, drawings, and installation schematics, providing ongoing guidance throughout the task duration.Candidate Profile.
Strong interpersonal skills are essential for this position. A degree, diploma, or certificate in Electrical/Electronic Technology or a related engineering field is required. Previous experience with air and water-cooled VFDs is preferred. Advanced degrees do not substitute for practical experience. Familiarity with medium voltage industrial electrical systems is advantageous. Knowledge of PLC principles and programming is beneficial. Understanding of commissioning and maintenance of MV/HV motors is a significant asset. Excellent verbal and written communication abilities. Capability to interpret and comprehend technical documents, schematic design specifications, and update drawings as necessary. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Must be able to work at heights using scaffolding or man-lifts. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. What We Provide.
