Hotel Services Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Harbourview Inn & Suites. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership and Supervision
- Supervise and coordinate the work of 3-4 team members to ensure seamless hotel operations.
- Provide guidance, training, and support to staff to enhance their skills and performance.
- Guest Services
- Ensure that all guest rooms and public areas are clean, comfortable, and well-maintained.
- Respond promptly to guest complaints and concerns, resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Operations and Administration
- Oversee the daily operations of the hotel, including front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance.
- Manage hotel budgets, forecasts, and reports to ensure financial stability and growth.
- Training and Development
- Develop and implement training programs to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Provide coaching and mentoring to staff to support their career development.
- Culture and Diversity
- Foster a culture of inclusivity, respect, and diversity within the hotel.
- Develop and implement programs to support the recruitment, retention, and development of diverse staff.
- Support for Newcomers and Refugees
- Develop and implement mentorship programs to support the integration of newcomers and refugees into the hotel team.
- Provide training and support to staff to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
- Support for Youths
- Develop and implement on-the-job training programs to support the development of youth staff.
- Provide mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities to support the career development of youth staff.
- Support for Visible Minorities
- Develop and implement policies and programs to support the recruitment, retention, and development of visible minority staff.
- Provide training and support to staff to create a welcoming and inclusive work environment.
- Education
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience
- Experience in hotel management or a related field is an asset.
- Skills
- Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Knowledge of hotel operations and management principles.
The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced hotel environment, with a focus on providing exceptional guest experiences and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.
LanguageThe primary language of work is English.
Hours of WorkThe successful candidate will work 35 to 40 hours per week.
