About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Managing Supervisor to join our team at Harbourview Inn & Suites. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our hotel, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and that our staff are well-trained and motivated.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision
    • Supervise and coordinate the work of 3-4 staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
    • Develop and implement effective training programs to ensure that staff have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties.
  • Operations Management
    • Oversee the smooth operation of hotel facilities, including front desk, housekeeping, and food and beverage services.
    • Monitor and control expenses, ensuring that the hotel operates within budget.
  • Guest Services
    • Ensure that guests receive exceptional service, responding promptly to their needs and concerns.
    • Develop and implement strategies to improve guest satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Team Development
    • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of staff members.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Ensure that the hotel complies with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
    • Identify and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the safety and security of guests and staff.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience
    • Experience in hotel management or a related field is an asset.
  • Skills and Qualities
    • Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure and make sound decisions.
