Position Overview:

IBI Group is seeking a Director of Business Units - Engineering Solutions to lead the Buildings Engineering sector within the Places Business Area. This position will report directly to the Business Area Director and is based in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Executing the Places strategy:
    • Oversee the business unit with responsibility for profit and loss performance and the delivery of high-quality services, while formulating and implementing strategies to ensure excellence and profitable expansion.
    • Recruit and cultivate a diverse team of senior experts, establish objectives, and drive performance to meet program targets.
    • Formulate and execute the business plan, ensuring team alignment and a focus on quality, global delivery, and growth.
    • Identify and pursue client opportunities to stimulate revenue growth within the business unit.
  • Fostering strong relationships and building effective teams:
    • Develop enduring client relationships, comprehend their requirements, and enhance client satisfaction to promote growth.
    • Guide discipline and service managers to ensure project success and elevate client satisfaction.
    • Recognize and advocate for talent within the unit to support career advancement.

Qualifications:

Experience & Credentials: We are looking for a licensed Professional Engineer or Architect in Canada with over 10 years of experience in leading a business function within professional services. Strong leadership, communication, and commercial acumen are essential. Compensation and benefits will be discussed with candidates under consideration.
