Job Title: Business Unit Director

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Unit Director to lead our Buildings Engineering team in Canada. As a key member of our Places Business Area, you will be responsible for driving business growth, delivering exceptional service quality, and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy to drive growth, improve service quality, and enhance profitability.
  • Lead a diverse team of senior specialists, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities to ensure staff are equipped to deliver exceptional results.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and pursue new business opportunities, driving organic revenue growth and expanding our client base.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions to drive client satisfaction and retention.
  • Coach and mentor discipline managers and service managers to ensure all projects are set up for success, with a focus on quality, global delivery, and integration of GEC.
Requirements:
  • 10+ years of experience leading and growing a significant business function within a professional services firm.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization, particularly with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong technical knowledge, with the ability to recognize and manage risk in running a design-led business unit.
  • Well-developed commercial skills, with a sound knowledge of the industry and demonstrated entrepreneurial behavior.
