Job Summary

As a Health Records Management Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient management of patient health records. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of chart management, including retrieval, reconciliation, preparation for electronic charting, and release of information.

You will also be responsible for monitoring and managing the chart completion system, contributing to the accuracy of our ADT/Health Records system.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all aspects of patient health records, including retrieval, reconciliation, preparation for electronic charting, and release of information.
  • Monitor and manage the chart completion system, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining the integrity of the ADT/Health Records system.
  • Provide front desk coverage and interact with patients and visitors in a professional manner.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Medical Terminology Course
  • Previous experience in a Health Records Department is an asset.
  • Six months of previous experience in an office setting, including reception duties, is required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and problem-solve effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and knowledge of hospital computer systems.
  • Understanding of Release of Patient Information Policies.
