As a key member of our senior management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the regional management of our investment strategy and related business activities, ensuring efficient operations and execution of our overall strategy.
Key Responsibilities- Work closely with senior members of the company to develop and implement investment strategies and business plans.
- Lead the evaluation and execution of new business opportunities, including acquisitions, development, construction, and property management.
- Oversee the creation of investment committee memorandums and due diligence materials for new acquisitions.
- Assist with securing land, bridge, construction, and permanent financing, including the preparation of lender packages, valuations, budgets, and due diligence materials.
- Work alongside the asset management team to formulate asset business plans for income-producing assets on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Oversee asset management and property management teams for Montreal properties to ensure successful execution of asset business capital plans.
- Represent the company on industry panels and at industry networking events.
- Provide business oversight and leadership to all regional employees, ensuring a culture of performance and accountability.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in business, finance, or a similar field.
- ~10+ years of experience in finance, including principal investing at a private equity company or real estate firm.
- Investment banking experience is considered an asset.
- Real estate experience and keen interest in developing a network of relationships in the sector.
- Advanced analytical skills with expert working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
- Motivated to oversee the work and contribute to the development of junior members of the investments team.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with an ability to work independently and synergistically in a lean and horizontal corporate structure.
