Job Title: Manager, Retention & Membership

We are seeking an exceptional leader to join our team as Manager, Retention & Membership with a primary focus on the Hockey vertical. As a creative thinker and collaborator, you will apply your innovation and customer-centric mindset to define and execute the strategic direction of a world-class Toronto Maple Leafs and Marlies Season Ticket member retention program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team to achieve retention and sales targets across the Hockey vertical properties, delivering on annual goals and objectives.
  • Drive change by continuing to evolve our Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practices for both Members and Teammates, building inclusive leadership capabilities through anti-racism and unconscious bias training.
  • Coach and inspire a team to deliver a best-in-class Retention and Membership program, reviewing and evaluating performance against operating and strategic goals.
  • Build partnerships with Marketing, MLSE Digital Labs Team, and Global Partnerships department to create additional value for members through digital assets and business operational requirements.
  • Manage annual operational budgets for the Hockey vertical and support in delivering bi-annual Business Reviews with internal Stakeholders.

  • Customer retention and sales expertise, with a proven record of meeting and exceeding growth targets through strategic and creative tactics.
  • Leadership experience, with a coaching and growth mindset, and a proven record of people development, coaching, and culture building.
  • Interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment where quality, innovation, and customer service are critical to organizational success.
  • Communication skills, with exceptional oral and written storytelling skills, including expertise in interpreting and presenting results to a wide range of audiences.
  • Operational expertise, with a history of responsible fiscal management of expenses, overseeing revenue and operating budgets, and financial planning.
  • Blend of analytics, curiosity, and innovation, with the ability to quickly understand existing processes, assess gaps, and innovate to develop new strategies.
