The primary objective is to deliver an outstanding shopping experience for hockey enthusiasts, ranging from beginners to advanced players, through professional and courteous customer service while offering expert equipment guidance.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement
  1. Evaluate, diagnose, and provide recommendations for the maintenance and servicing of hockey gear. Greet customers with a smile and maintain eye contact.
  2. Direct customers to the location of requested products.
  3. Respond to inquiries and offer friendly advice and services to customers.
  4. Recommend complementary and related products to ensure customers leave with the right items.
  5. Address and manage customer inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly, both over the phone and in person.
  6. Handle multiple customer interactions effectively and efficiently.
  7. Manage challenging situations with professionalism.
  8. Stay informed about new products regularly.
  9. Keep updated on in-store promotions, deals, and product placements.
  10. Collaborate with local hockey teams and community initiatives to promote and develop the sport of hockey.
Operational Duties
  1. Ensure that essential retail tasks are performed efficiently (e.g., stocking, labeling, organizing, etc.).
  2. Stock shelves and merchandise display areas according to established guidelines.
  3. Perform equipment repairs, including skate sharpening.
  4. Regularly walk assigned sections to assess daily tasks.
  5. Maintain inventory accuracy and report low stock levels.
  6. Report any stolen or damaged merchandise to management.
  7. Utilize computer systems and RF devices to enter relevant data.
  8. Engage in learning opportunities and accept feedback to enhance personal skills.
  9. Adhere to company, store, and departmental policies.
  10. Follow all health and safety protocols and report any potential hazards immediately.
  11. Use professional language and maintain a polished appearance when interacting with others.
  12. Complete additional tasks as needed.
Qualifications
  1. Expertise in product knowledge.
  2. Active participant in the hockey lifestyle.
  3. Essential knowledge of hockey, whether as a player, coach, or fan.
  4. Basic math and typing skills.
  5. Ability to work independently with computerized systems.
  6. Experience in customer service or familiarity with retail environments is advantageous.
