Position Overview:

The Technical Sales Representative will play a pivotal role in driving sales initiatives for CB Canada, focusing on mechanical products and engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Business Unit Sales Manager (BVSM) to formulate a comprehensive strategy aimed at identifying and pursuing key accounts that align with sales objectives.
  • Goal Setting: Establish clear, quantifiable goals that demonstrate aggressive financial growth and enhance the company's market position.
  • Implementation: Oversee the execution of the sales strategy, ensuring increased product penetration among engineers, owners, and contractors. Maintain an account/product acceptance matrix for regular review.
  • Project Coordination: Work closely with the Regional Balancing Specialist to ensure effective communication and project-focused implementation across the region.
  • Technical Expertise: Acquire in-depth knowledge of system design, equipment functionality, and competitive products to effectively address client needs and challenges.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within accounts to maximize sales opportunities. Engage actively in local associations and events.
  • Presentations: Conduct informative presentations for associations, mechanical engineers, and owners to advocate for the balancing concept.
  • Project Management: Serve as the technical authority on balancing and hydronic troubleshooting, ensuring a minimum of five project take-offs or quotes weekly.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough documentation of all activities to meet management reporting standards.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in outside sales within the construction and mechanical sectors, with a strong understanding of hydronic system design.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a professional demeanor.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • A competitive, flexible, and self-motivated team player.
