Your Role:

As an Application Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the initial stages of the sales process for compressed air systems. Collaborating closely with our Sales team, Project Engineers, suppliers, and clients, you will provide essential technical expertise for product customizations and engineered solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the selection and sizing of complex products and systems.
  • Work with the Sales team to evaluate the technical and commercial viability of proposals, addressing customer inquiries and specifications.
  • Prepare high-quality quotations for locally sourced equipment, product modifications, and tailored solutions.
  • Optimize offers by collaborating with purchasing and external partners to ensure competitive pricing.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation, including 2D and 3D drawings and detailed datasheets.
  • Deliver engaging technical presentations and participate in bid clarification discussions.
  • Enhance the efficiency and quality of support provided to the sales team through collaboration with fellow application engineers.
  • Gather and review all pertinent technical information to assist the sales team.
  • Conduct comparative analyses to demonstrate the advantages of our solutions over competitors.
  • Identify innovative ways to add value for customers and promote our efficient solutions.

Qualifications for Success:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in a technical/commercial engineering role.
  • Experience with air compressors, treatment systems, and installation.
  • A degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Proficiency in designing and sizing compressed air systems.
  • Familiarity with API/ISO standards and specifications.
  • Knowledge of CRM tools and sizing/calculation software.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Inventor.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French, both written and spoken.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
