Position Overview:

The Technical Sales Representative will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive sales strategy aimed at enhancing market presence and achieving ambitious sales targets for CB Canada. This role focuses on valves, coil components, and the technical intricacies of our product offerings, with an emphasis on displacing competitors from engineering specifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager (RSM) and Business Unit Sales Manager (BVSM) to create a targeted plan that identifies key opportunities and accounts.
  • Goal Setting: Establish quantitative and measurable objectives that drive financial growth and market penetration.
  • Implementation: Take charge of executing the strategy, ensuring product acceptance at the engineering, owner, and contractor levels, while maintaining an account/product acceptance matrix.
  • Project Focus: Work closely with the Regional Balancing Specialist to implement plans that are project-driven, ensuring effective communication and coordination within the region.
  • Technical Expertise: Gain a thorough understanding of system design, equipment functionality, and project design cycles, while keeping abreast of competitive products and market trends.
  • Relationship Building: Cultivate strong relationships with key influencers and decision-makers to maximize sales potential, actively participating in local associations and events.
  • Presentations: Conduct regular presentations for local associations, mechanical engineers, and owners to advocate for the balancing concept.
  • Technical Leadership: Serve as the technical authority on balancing and hydronic troubleshooting, completing a minimum of five take-offs and quotes per week.
  • Documentation: Ensure all activities are meticulously documented, adhering to management's reporting requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in outside sales, particularly in construction and mechanical products.
  • Strong work ethic and excellent communication skills, with proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, alongside a solid mechanical aptitude.
  • A collaborative team player who is competitive, adaptable, and self-driven.
