Key Responsibilities
Reporting directly to the Director of Procurement, you will spearhead the procurement operations to optimize efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Your role will encompass:

  • Developing annual purchasing strategies and guidelines.
  • Leading and mentoring the procurement team.
  • Utilizing negotiation skills to secure favorable pricing, payment terms, and other purchasing conditions.

Team Leadership
You will oversee the purchasing department's efficiency, assigning tasks and coaching team members. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting performance evaluations and providing training.
  • Establishing metrics to enhance departmental performance.
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders to deliver exceptional service.

Procurement Management
Manage all procurement activities, including:

  • Creating and executing purchasing strategies.
  • Monitoring supplier performance through KPIs.
  • Negotiating terms and conditions to achieve competitive advantages.

Supply Chain Optimization
Support the execution of supply chain operations to ensure effective product movement. Responsibilities include:

  • Implementing best practices in logistics and distribution.
  • Analyzing transportation costs and negotiating rates.
  • Monitoring supply logistics for optimal efficiency.

Inventory Oversight
Manage inventory levels and ensure alignment with company metrics. Key tasks involve:

  • Analyzing inventory mix and turnover rates.
  • Negotiating returns and exchanges with suppliers.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing to address obsolete inventory.

Data Integrity Management
Evaluate vendor and product performance using analytical reports. Responsibilities include:

  • Collaborating with the Product and Pricing department for product alignment.
  • Maintaining accurate product data as per company standards.

Collaboration with Sales and Marketing
Work alongside the sales leadership to explore new product opportunities and drive sales growth.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Post-Secondary Degree/Diploma in Supply Chain Management or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain operations and management.
  • Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel.
  • Experience in the electrical distribution sector.
