Position Overview
This role reports to the Procurement Manager and is integral to our global team that is transforming the mining sector for a more productive and sustainable future.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will:
- Provide active support and collaboration with Front-end Sales during the project bidding phase to enhance customer satisfaction and boost order intake.
- Engage with cross-functional teams to ensure timely, budget-compliant project delivery that meets quality standards.
- Establish and maintain a sustainable supply chain by identifying and selecting optimal suppliers through sourcing activities, auditing, and contributing to our business strategy.
- Ensure that daily operations adhere to Procurement and Logistics policies, processes, and guidelines.
- Collaborate closely with the project team to define procurement strategies and plans related to project materials and services.
- Assist the project manager in drafting requests for proposals or contracts, evaluating submissions, and negotiating agreements to implement cost-saving measures.
- Conduct supplier visits at various project stages for quality inspections, timely delivery, and compliance with project specifications.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 8 years of experience in project procurement within procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, particularly in an industrial setting with a complex product portfolio.
- A technical background in electrical engineering complemented by further education in business administration, supply management, or project management.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement controls, regulations, and legal contracts.
- Strong technical expertise in electrical equipment, including transformers, switchgears, e-houses, and Motor Control Centers (MCC).
- Willingness to travel up to 20% for short business trips.
- Proficiency in SAP, SAP Ariba, MS Office, MS Teams, Salesforce, and Power BI.
