Key Responsibilities:
- Manage procurement activities for assigned commodities and supplier portfolios, which vary in complexity and financial scope.
- Oversee purchasing operations focusing on quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments including Planning, Quality, Operations Engineering, and Finance.
- Engage proactively with suppliers to ensure their capabilities align with the organization's current and future needs.
- Generate Requests for Quotations (RFQs), conduct competitive bidding, and evaluate bids using cost analysis techniques.
- Adhere strictly to the policies and procedures of the L3Harris Supply Chain department and corporate mandates.
- Contribute to Lean initiatives aimed at improving key business processes within the procurement function.
- Assist Commodity Managers and Supplier Quality Engineers in managing supplier recovery schedules to meet demand.
- Support dual sourcing and outsourcing evaluations and negotiations.
- Facilitate the negotiation and implementation of supplier agreements, including Non-Disclosure Agreements and Long-term Agreements.
Required Skills:
- Proficient in ERP, EDI, and PLM software systems.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning methodologies.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.
- Able to thrive in high-pressure situations while maintaining a strong focus on customer service.
- Demonstrated commitment to achieving results and continuous improvement within a team setting.
- Adaptable and flexible, while adhering to company policies.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities.
- Skilled in managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proactive in identifying problems and developing effective solutions.
- Familiarity with CGRP, USML, ITAR, and Offsets regulations.
Experience and Education:
- University Degree or College Diploma in Business, Operations, or Supply Chain Management.
- Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree, or 2 years with a Graduate Degree, or 8 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
- APICS CSCP, CPIM, or PMAC SCMP designations are considered advantageous.
